The original apartment was situated at the top floor of a listed block of flats in the heart of Athens designed by Aris Kostandinidis architect. Planning regulations prohibited alterations to the front of the building so the façade was left untouched while the inside was entirely transformed. The brief was to accommodate the dual functions of a living environment and the clients’ office, who is a designer and collector of avant-garde art and antique furniture.
Kitchen, dining, working and living spaces are brought together in a single fluid space, which also functions as self-contained office, with windows framing a series of panoramic views of Acropolis and the whole city. Generous private quarters incorporate bedroom, dressing and shower in an open-space.
